The image on the entry page is a Papua New Guinean in his hand made dug-out boat, who came around to trade a bunch of bananas for anything he could get from our boat. We ended up visiting their village, which may have never hosted western whites like ourselves before. They loved seeing themselves in the digital cameras.

The background is a shot of Chevron Barracuda taken in the Bismark Sea north of Papua New Guinea that I desaturated and lightened.

To build this site I used Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop 6.0, irfanview 3.75, ULead Photo Express 8.0, Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0, and, of course, emacs.
